1.A typical concrete floor with crud still on it. This is an example of floors that I will not accept without a discussion. |
2.The crud-removing process is a labor intensive one. |
3.After the floor has been cleared of debris, cleaning the baseboards is of utmost importance. |
4.Stain application is a wet process - note the protected baseboards. |
5.The final steps: seal and buff. |
6.Here is the completed project. |

All floors must be free of paint, adhesives, sheetrock mud, dirt, grease, etc. prior to my arrival. We use a muratic acid based stain that reacts to the composition of the concrete surface. Your floor needs to be protected from "construction abuse." Various means of protection are available—Contact me for help.
The wax sealer that is applied needs 72 hours to attain its complete curing under most conditions. Light foot travel is acceptable in 24 hours. All walls and baseboards will be protected during the staining, stain removal and the application of the seal coats. We use quick release tape to hold our paper against your walls during the staining process. Care is exercised to prevent "paint peel-offs," but no responsibility is assumed. Solvent based liquid sealers may be used for increased shine; however, maintenance will increase.
